This probably will sound odd, but I would like to play the game at a lower frame rate then 60fps. The animations run faster then they do in the real Zelda. I tried dropping "fps" it in ag.cfg to 15fps but it didn't work.
Particularly the Zols and Gels look like they are on Sugar Highs.
A lot of factors determine the speed at which things animate. Some tilesets have fast animations of many frames. There isn't a single solution to this. Nor is it possible to lower the framerate. It's either 60 FPS or bust.
Make sure you aren't playing with uncapped FPS, too. Hit F1 to toggle VSync Mode.
