The Equipment Item flag can still be checked for the Bow and Arrow and Letter Or Potion Item Classes, even though those two item classes are for use in subscreens only. So therefore, the Equipment item flag should be disabled for these two classes.
And the equipment item flag can still be checked for these two item classes in RC3. Want to be more efficient? Why even have these two item classes shown in the item editor? Why not just make them only appear in the subscreen editor.
Because this stuff is hard to change. It's far more trouble than it's worth.
Well, there were a few other item classes that used to have the equipment flag enabled, such as clocks, non-gameplay items, and level keys, but back when _L_ was still around, he changed those item classes to have that flag disabled to prevent quest maker from being able to check that flag for those classes. So why would it be any trouble to make the same changes to the bow and arrow and letter or potion classes? I mean, if no items should use those two classes, there's really no point in checking that flag for them anyway.
Yeah, that's true. I can add a couple more type checks there easily enough.
