Problem with the whistle (v 2.10)

I have a few overworld secret passages that appear when you blow the whistle.

However, I have recently noticed that when you blow the whistle to reveal one of said passages, and you then don't enter it, all the overworld lakes on the other screens are dried up (lakes automatically dry up when you blow the whistle to reveal a secret, but here it extends to the other screens)! And they remain dried up until you do enter a cave.

This is of course a problem since Link can then access areas he is not supposed to be able to access.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a bug to me.
