On my windows XP on the main account (Cynthia) Zelda Classic 2.10 will just error

This has been happening to a lot of people. Hang tough, the members have come with some good stuff on this problem, I recommend that you search through various posts that mention XP issues. If you cannot find anything helpful, send another post. The zelda classic community will try to help you problem.

You want to use the administrator account for all versions of Windows. Other than that, just download the software from this site, and install. It should be set up quickly, and then if you need any help designing or playing, search the forums.

Running as Administrator does not harm computers correct?

If there is one account on your computer, then it is by default the administrator account. If you are using XP, then there is no "Run as administrator" option, though if there were, it would do nothing to your computer (unless the file is bad, which Zelda Classic isn't). If you have installed the program then it's ready to go. Now if you were using Vista, then you would need to select run as administrator (probably), but they give you that option in the right click menu for ZQuest and Zelda Classic.
