There seems to be much more content than there used to be. For example, count to 1000 used to be (1, 2, 3) but now people are actually associating the numbers with something so there is plenty of content there.

I don't think it matters one way or another. I guess some of us older people don't really count our posts anymore, but I know how fun it is to see a number increase with your contributions to the community.

I think posts are posts and they should count. That would give the Forum Games more traffic, for one thing. On the other hand, it may encourage people to go off-topic, double-post, or start meaningless threads just to increase their post count. So there's two sides to the issue.
