Got some questions here:
1. Where can I find a shop that sells bait? I've come across a hungry Goriya in level 4.

There are two shops that sell bait, one expensive, and one cheap.
The expensive bait shop is located under a bush on the screen east of the lost woods.
The cheap bait shop is located on the screen east of the northwest corner of the map, behind a bombable wall.
The blue ring is also available with the cheap bait.

2. Where can I find the letter? I found a potion shop where level 4 was in the first quest.

The letter is located on the screen with the steps leading up to the graveyard. Bomb near the middle.

3. Where in this quest is the blue ring? I'm starting to come across some tough enemies, such as green ropes and the dreaded L3 Stalfos.

As mentioned in #1, the blue ring is available in the shop one screen east of the northwest corner of the map, behind a bombable wall.

4. Where are the other three heart containers in the overworld? I've alreay got two of them; one over the ocean and one where level 7 was in the second quest.

#1 - Whistle on the screen one south and one west of where Level 4 was in the 1st quest.
#2 - Two Screens right and one screen up from Death Mountain 3-Stair Warp. Bomb on the left side.
#3 - Push the middle rock on the screen where you go up, up, up the mountain.

5. Where can I find the bracelet?

About that first heart container you listed... what do you mean by the screen one south and one west of Level 4? That one screen located just southwest of level 4 is where level 7 was in the 1st quest, and that's where I found the Magic Sword. Also, I don't have the whistle yet. Which dungeon is it in?

D'oh, sorry, I meant to say where Level 4 was in the first quest.

And the Whistle is in Level 3. A guy in Level 4 gives you a clue to its whereabouts.

Well, the 4th and 5th dungeon bosses were pretty tough, but I'm glad I got those two dungeons out of the way. And I've found pretty much all the heart containers and other items in the overworld now.
