| Rise of Ganon posted by: Pineconn | August.26.2010 | Kenster has submitted Rise of Ganon, a quest that has been on PureZC since earlier this year. If you haven't played it yet, well, what are you waiting for? Make sure that you use version 2.10.
That's all for now. Whenever a new quest or update is submitted, an announcement will be made.

| And we're back! ...sorta posted by: Pineconn | April.12.2010 | If you've been trying to use www.zeldaclassic.com to access our page for the past few months, you will have noticed that you couldn't connect. Alternate domains, however, were fully functional (such as www.armageddongames.net/zeldaclassic). Well, thanks to the work of the admins, the site is fully accessible again. ZC 2.5 is still under development, and help is always needed. Feel free to come into the forums and test it out for us.
Secondly, I normally do not make announcements about quests. However, we've received a quest update for a rather old quest, Lands of Serenity by Chris Miller. Besides bug fixes, it's been ported to version 2.10 for everyone to enjoy.

| A new year, a new expo! posted by: Pineconn | January.01.2010 | Happy new year, ZC community! We are kicking the new year off with the AGN Winter Expo! Please click here to enter; make sure to read the rules and procedural details. The AGN Expo is a biannual event in which all quest authors may create threads (in the appropriate sub-forums, of course) about their upcoming quests, scripts, and graphics/music. This is open to everyone, so why don't you come on in and submit something?
Also, if you haven't clicked in for awhile, the forums have been hacked and we lost all posts from around May to November of 2009. Our thanks to the AGN administrators and staff for getting everything else working correctly.
Finally, ZC 2.5 is still in the works. Check out this site for development updates.

| Demos posted by: rocksfan13 | November.11.2009 | Please do not submit demos to the Quest Database.
They are not considered valid quests and will be rejected.
The Quest Database is for completed quests only.
Thank You.

| A big thank you to Questmakers everywhere posted by: Old-Skool | September.18.2009 | Since the last news post, The number of faulty submissions has significantly dropped. I'd like to thank the questmakers who took the time to read the last news post regarding submissions. As a reminder, your quest url CANNOT link to a page on a file hosting site: It must link directly to the file. Also, while it won't reject the quest necessarily, check your image files.
It's a sort of weird irony that the internet is composed mostly of words, and yet people never take the time to read them. But it looks like a few people did, and those people deserve some round of applause, just for bothering to read things first. Thanks guys!

| **READ BEFORE SUBMITTING A QUEST** posted by: Old-Skool | August.13.2009 | It seems several people still don't know how to properly submit a quest or bother to read the forums and find out.
We had a Super Mario Bros. "Demo" that was rejected (three times in one sitting, what does that say)because two links led to 404's, and the third led to a rapidshare site. IF THE URL TO YOUR QUEST LINK DOES NOT LINK DIRECTLY TO THE ZIP OR QUEST FILE, YOUR QUEST WILL NOT BE APPROVED. IT WILL BE REJECTED. REJECTED. NOT GOING IN. I suggest you change filehosts. WE DO NOT HOST YOUR QUEST FILES!!
Also, we've had a discussion lately on submitting screenshots that aren't actually in the quest. This is fine if you want to post some sort of box art to your quest, make it look like a video game. STEALING AN IMAGE OFF THE NET OF THE SUPER MARIO BROS TITLE SCREEN IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

| Official Zelda Classic 4th Quest Contest posted by: jman2050 | March.11.2009 | The Zelda Classic Development team is hosting a quest-making contest, the winner of which will have his quest packaged with the release version of Zelda Classic 2.5! The theme is similar to the Official 3rd quest contest done many years ago, where the completed quest is similar in purpose and design to the 2nd quest of the original NES game The Legend of Zelda.
Please visit the official thread for rules and more information
Happy quest-building!

Note: Yes, even if you have posted a thread before in a previous AGN Expo or PureZC Expo, feel free to make a duplicate thread that would mark any progress and improvements since then. We'd all love to see it.
I should also mention that ZC 2.5 is making considerable progress. Check out the new builds at www.shardstorm.com. I always make sure to keep the development history up-to-date.
